Welcome one welcome all to Mama, we’ll be alright!
Mama, we'll be alright was created by after having my very first child. My name is Elissa and I have a 5 month old who I'm raising with my wonderful husband Luis. I am a Social Worker with qualifications in psychology and criminology and although I have spent many years at uni studying people… I am totally clueless when it comes to parenting. I created this community after finding that there were an unlimited amount of resources for mums, and parents in general, when it came to raising their child. There were loads of social media accounts and businesses dedicated to helping mums parent, helping mums cook for their children helping mums budget, helping mums educate their children and so on and so forth… And they are great and so necessary. But at the end of the day after mum has learned how to parent, cook, clean, budget... who is helping mum cope? Mum is rallying for her kids but who is rallying for her? That's the gap that I'm hoping Mama, we’ll be alright will fill.
There’s no right and wrong here, theres no judgement here, there’s no rulebook here and there’s no pretending motherhood is easy here.
